The Bachelor

Talk is cheap, so he gets by,

Cheap to charm a lady

Cheap to chat some guy.

A business not too shady

That was what he liked,

Pasting people into new lives.

A craft somewhat sticky

But he was looking for a good wife

And a good groom,

Two who’d make room

For each other in this world

Predisposed toward self-interest.

A happiness to him over many.

This job, it never cost him a penny.

That Escalated Quickly

I’ve been really, really sick this past month - like, I missed 4-5 days of school  - but I’m alive and recovering! For all of my penpals who are awaiting letters, I’m terribly sorry that you have had to wait this long. I thought I would get started with them again after I’d finished my college applications, and then I got sick, and it’s just now that I can really say I feel better. 

BUT DON’T YOU WORRY, MY FRIENDS. I have a surprise. After all my midterms are over by Wednesday this week, I will be rushing to the airport to get on a plane to… Russia! Yes, really. My robotics team was invited to a competition there, and I never really expected the trip to actually happen, but here we are, just three days away. I cannot contain my excitement! I hope to send you all some memories from there, whether they are through this blog or personally through my very late letters.
